Hinx is ideally situated
35 minutes from the Atlantic beaches, attractions include
Biarritz, Bordeaux, Pau, Lourdes and Spain,

all are around 1 hours drive and to add to this amazing diversity
Hinx looks south towards the snow-capped Pyrenees and its
ski resorts.
Hinx lies on the river Adour 9 km from Dax, France`s premier
spa town founded by the Romans, and owes its existence
to its long ago disused "port" carrying wine and farm produce
from the Plateau of the Chalosse on flat-bottomed boats
down the river to Bayonne, the goods were then exported
as far as Britain and Holland.
This area of the south west is renowned for
its festivities and Hinx carries on the tradition with
something going on all year round. Small but dynamic the
village hosts a variety of events ranging from: cabarets,
jazz nights, choral chants, blues concerts, a beer festival,
a Celtic weekend, and comedy nights to name a few.
