A little bit about France...
France, the worlds most visited country, is diverse in its people, architectures, landscapes and climate. France is, for example, home to the highest point in Europe (Mont-Blanc 4,810 m; 15,780 ft) the lowest point of Europe, Delta du Rhone, (-5 m; -15 ft) longest beach( 220km) and the biggest forest (Les Landes).
Compared to the likes of Australia, Canada or the USA France is relatively small, but in spite of its size, the landscapes in France are extremely varied from one region to another, ranging from urban Paris to rolling countryside and from high mountains to the beaches of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.
France has long been a favoured destination
for many Brits and Irish either as a holiday destination
or as a place to start a new chapter in their life. Its
proximity and the abundance of transport links
mean weekend visits and travelling to and from is
easy. In recent years the arrival of low-cost airlines
has really opened up the whole of France, most French cities
tend to have an airport with flights to and from the whole
of the UK and Ireland.
Property trends have been changing as the
transport links have improved, a greater number of people
are finding their way over the channel these days and so
the demand for property in France is growing, this particular
influx of foreign capital into the French property market
means that it is in continual growth. It is the new build
market that has benefited the most in recent years. New
build provides the buyer with a sound investment and is
an easy option, they do not have to spend years clearing
up the land and rebuilding half the home, they can come
and go as they please knowing that they have invested their
money wisely.
